This large glass-fronted resort has a setting on Alvor’s peaceful outskirts, just a 10-minute taxi ride from the town. It’s surrounded by manicured lawns and just a short walk from the nearest shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is a little over 20 minutes’ walk away, but the hotel lays on a handy shuttle bus several times a day that’ll whisk you to and from. The swimming pools steal the show here. There's a huge lake-sized pool, fringed by loungers and thatched parasols. Little ones have a neighbouring paddling pool all to themselves, complete with an in-water play area. You’ll find one more pool inside the spa, designed for indulging treatments, and it comes with a sauna and Turkish bath.
