You can’t get much closer to the Mediterranean Sea than the Blue Marine Resort and Spa. It’s tucked into the coastline in a pretty bay, just metres from the water, and comes with its very own private beach. There’s also a large split-level an outdoor pool, which is freshwater and heated during the low season. Plus, there's a spacious sun terrace with plenty of shade-giving parasols, as well as a poolside bar. Children get a separate pool to splash in, and you’ll find an indoor pool and a hot tub in the spa centre. If chilling out all day isn’t for you, you can get involved with the daytime entertainment programme. Plus, the kids’ club and playground make sure little ones have plenty to do. Evening entertainment is on the cards in the amphitheatre, too. A lovely 5★ option with a modern feel, beautiful Mirabello Bay views and a small private beach. I particularly like this one for the All Inclusive dining, with the main buffet complemented by Greek, Italian and Grill speciality restaurants, plus a crêperie, bars and daytime snacks. This is a quieter, more hotel-based option with little immediately outside, but lovely Agios Nikolaos is only around a 10-minute taxi ride away for shops, waterfront restaurants, harbour strolls and boat trips.
