Looking for a luxurious family escape? Let us give you a head start. The Canvas by Mitsis Family Village has got you covered – from its fantastic location at the foot of Mount Dikeos to its well-thought out facilities. Did we mention it’s just a five-minute walk to a Blue Flag awarded beach, too? During the day, you can enjoy cooling dips in the main swimming pool while the little ones paddle in their own pool area. You'll find three waterslides here, too, including one for kids and two reserved just for the grown-ups (height restrictions apply). I’ve included Canvas by Mitsis Family Village as a really good compromise option, as although it doesn’t tick every box from your original wish list, it does offer some of the things that matter most at a much more attractive price. The big plus here is the spacious Family Maisonette with access to a shared pool, giving all five of you plenty of room together as well as that lovely swim-up feel you were hoping for. The resort is family focused with All Inclusive, plenty going on and waterslides for the children, although it isn’t a full-scale waterpark. The main compromise is the beach – it’s around 500m away and is pebbly rather than the sandy beach originally requested, although there is a hotel beach hopper and the clear water is great for snorkelling. Mitsis resorts also have a very good reputation, and encouragingly, recent peak summer reviews mention guests having no problems finding sunbeds – so I thought this one was definitely worth including as a strong value alternative.
