In the coastal resort of Son Bou, you’ll be just a five-minute shuttle ride – provided free of charge by the hotel – from a long stretch of sandy shore on Menorca’s south coast. The pool in particular is a winner – plonked right in the centre of the terrace, it’s got plenty of space to make a splash. Fringed with greenery, and with loungers and Bali beds sprinkled around the edge, you’d be hard pressed to find a better spot for a bit of sun worshipping.
